Tours all around Australia provide an excellent way to discover this wonderful country. With such vast distances to cover and sometimes difficult locations to access tour companies extend great and informative services to the traveller who usually has time limits and naturally wants to see as much as possible. These trips are usually done in comfortable, air conditioned coaches showing films along the way and having regular rest stops. |

In the outback areas, Aboriginal or Koori tours are often held which prove very interesting particularly to our overseas visitors. These ‘bush tucker’ tours demonstrate the vast amounts of edible roots, berries, fruits, sources of protein etc. that are right before our eyes but which we non-indigenous folk would be totally unaware of. The tour may include the capturing, killing and cooking of a goanna lizard or the ‘delectable’ witchetty grubs which are cooked by tossing them into hot sand for a few minutes. |
